Aimarket Staff

Richard Hooper Henley, founder and principal of AIMARKET (american industrial marketing associates), has a unique background of sales and marketing management experience, product engineering and manufacturing management, combined with lifelong exposure to the practical details of high tech and heavy industry. Strategic planning and implementation of tactical advertising and marketing programs has resulted in numerous small companies becoming large companies and more importantly - profitable entities postured for continuing growth and service. Well-known as a developer of outside rep./dealer type sales organizations and the author of hundreds of trade magazine and professional journal articles, his writings on client behalf have generated literally tens of thousands of reader inquiries. These reader inquiries have resulted in substantial sales increases for the clients. A guiding philosophy in handling client accounts: "If you can not achieve positive results through editorial publicity and low budget marketing communications - you are wasting the money of your client or employer. Anyone can perform advertising and marketing for a large corporation with deep pockets. If you can not accomplish good sales growth with a very small budget you should certainly not be steering a large budget. There are folks around who will sell a fool all the paid advertising and trade show space his boss will allow."

Prior to establishing the AIMARKET consultancy, he held positions as a General Manager, V.P.- Sales & Mktg., Distributor Sales Manager, Systems Engineer, Applications Engineer and Manufacturing Cost Estimator, with several leading international high tech and heavy industrial firms. His first commercial writing efforts, on major systems proposal efforts, over a quarter century ago, led to many millions of dollars in industrial sales. This led to sales literature, catalogs and finally a regular monthly column in a major trade magazine. Today Richard H. Henley is one of America's most prolific writers of feature articles and case history type articles. If you read professional journals or trade magazines regularly - the odds are great you have recently read and been influenced by an article written or ghost-written by him. Most carry a magazine staff by-line but some carry a client by-line. They all reflect and report client activity in a positive but professional journalistic manner. Henley was educated as a mechanical engineer at Lincoln College of Northeastern University with additional studies at Boston College, Franklin Technical Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
