AER Control Systems Introduces Portable Cartridge Collector for Dust and Fumes

A new portable cartridge-based filtration unit complies with OSHA on multiple operations and meets the Hexavalent Chromium standard.  Smoke, noxious fumes, gasses, exhaust vapors from welding, brazing, soldering, casting or molding operations as well as dusts generated by grinding, sanding, polishing or powder processing are collected and filtered up to 99%+ efficiency at .5 microns.

SPC-1000 is the model designation of the wheel-mounted unit being introduced by AER Control Systems for diverse filtration/collection needs in welding shops, schools, industrial manufacturing and maintenance applications.  Typically used for control of low to moderate concentrations of dry contaminants, the SPC unit highlights manual push button pulsejet filter cleaning. 

Specifications and Features

• SPC-1000 features nominal 1000 CFM @ 5.5 inches of static pressure powered by a 115 Volt, single phase 1.5 HP TEFC motor with 8 foot cord and switch.
• 6-inch by 10-foot externally supported extraction arm.
• Heavy-duty 11- and 14-gauge metal construction with a Kelly Green textured powder coat finish.  Dimensions are 36 x 20 x 53.5. 
• 10-inch rear wheels and 5-inch front swivel wheels with push handle.
• Dust collection drawer.
• Horizontal mounted filter with low center of gravity for unit stability/safety.
• 177 sq. ft. filter area, flame retardant, HEPA type filter, change without tools.

Available options: HEPA module 99.97% @ 0.3 microns. Carbon module for removal of gas, vapors, odors.  Spark trap. Multiple inlet configurations include downdraft style, backdraft style, aluminum, non-marking work surface.   

AER Control Systems also offers SPC-2000, a larger model (47x20x 53.5) featuring 2,000 CFM @5.5 inches of static pressure. The higher capacity model is driven by a 230/460/3 phase, 3HP electric motor.  All units are available in the various configuration styles with modular construction and all accessories.
