DRY IS BEST FOR COMPRESSED AIR
(news for immediate release from aimarket - October 2004)
A new dryer for compressed air “point-of-use” is being introduced by TECO. The MVP-HD Air Dryer, as the new system is named, is designed for continuous operation. The systems are modular, scalable to fit any need and easily expanded for future capacity needs.
TECO’S new compressed air dryer is based on patented technology using a molecular sieve in a desiccant cartridge. Each cartridge alternates between a cycle of air drying and regeneration (filter/desiccant cartridge back-flushing and self-cleaning). Desiccant life is indefinite and replacement is only necessary should the desiccant become contaminated. If it becomes necessary to change the proprietary desiccant it is easily accomplished as it is stored in a convenient spin on, removable cartridge. A typical system operates at fraction of the electrical cost of a light bulb.
